Facet 29- Buffalo Bills

As fans of this site already know, I am deeply committed to my beloved St. Louis Rams. However, since I now live in the Buffalo area, I decided that it was cool to root for the Bills, since they're in a different conference (AFC).

What impresses me most about the Bills is this: I know in St. Louis, we have the Cardinals (MLB). And I know fans of other teams in other cities enhance their civic pride. But with the Bills, it's different. I've never seen a team that was such a part of that city's identity. It's just mind blowing to come up here and experience it. It really is impressive.

Facet 28- Voltron

I loved this cartoon when I was a kid. I was flipping through the channels the other day and discovered it was on Cartoon Network. I decided to watch it just for the sake of nostalgia. Watching it brought back a flood of memories and emotions. I remember playing with the toys, watching the show in the afternoon. Needless to say, I now record it every time it's on.

What's interesting to me is that when I started watching it again, I felt the same thrill when the lions combine to form Voltron that I did when I was a kid. Sure the animation is kinda cheesy. And sure, every episode is pretty much the same. But when the lions fly up into space and form into Voltron, how can that not send even a tiny shiver up your spine? You know the universe is about to saved once again!

What a joy! It just goes to show that in some cases, it's OK not to grow up.
